The SAMK student meal subsidy card has been introduced
Students can use the SAMK meal subsidy card, which entitles them to Kela meal support, by filling in their details at slice.fi/samk. They will then receive an email with a login to the Slice.fi app, which can be downloaded from the app store. This is not an official student card, but only entitles the holder to Kela meal subsidies in student canteens.
Student, here’s what to do:
- Order your meal subsidy card credentials at slice.fi/samk
- Download the Slice.fi app from your app store
- You will receive an email with the login credentials to log in to the app. Bon appetite!
Note: if you already have the Slice student card, you do not need to download a meal subsidy card separately.
The official student card can be obtained by joining the Student Union SAMMAKKO, either from our website or directly via the button on the meal card. Once a student has joined the Student Union, they will receive a new ID in their email, which they can use to log back into the Slice.fi application. The meal subsidy card will then have been updated to an official student card, with which degree students will receive VR and Matkahuolto benefits in addition to Kela meal subsidies. In addition, all the other thousands of student benefits worth money throughout Finland are activated in the Slices application for all members to use. These other Slices benefits are therefore also available to openUAS and pathway student members.
