CALL FOR ELECTIONS 2026 – Satakunta University of Applied Sciences Student Union SAMMAKKO Representative Council Elections
Satakunta University of Applied Sciences Student Union SAMMAKKO Representative Council 2027 elections will be held on 4.11.2026
The nomination of candidates, i.e. the period during which lists can be registered for the election, will be carried out from 31.8.2026 at 09.00 to 28.9.2026 at 12.00 (noon).
The electronic advance voting will take place from 12.10.2026 at 9.00 to 1.11.2026 at 12.00 (noon).
The ballot box elections will take place according to the following timetable:
• 2.11.2026 at 11-14 Kankaanpää School of Art and Kuninkainen Campus
• 3.11.2026 at 10-15 SAMK campus Rauma and SAMK campus Pori
• 4.11.2026 at 10-15 SAMK campus Pori and SAMK campus Rauma
The joint student council election day is 4.11.2026.
The elections will elect 20 representatives to the Student Union’s Representative Council, plus 20 alternates.
All students of the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences who have paid the membership fee of the Student Union SAMMAKKO in autumn 2026 or academic year 2026-2027 are eligible to stand for election in these elections. Membership must be paid before the end of the nomination period.
The electoral list and the nomination form are available on the SAMMAKKO website and at SAMMAKKO offices before the start of the nomination process.
The election list and nomination forms must be returned to the SAMMAKKO offices or scanned and sent by e-mail to vaalit@sammakko.fi by 12.00 (noon) on 28 September 2026 by the final date of the nominations.
All students of the SAMK who have paid the membership fee for the autumn 2026 or the academic year 2026-2027 are entitled to vote in these elections.
Elections are governed in more detail by the Student Union’s Management and Administration Regulations (Finnish: johto- ja hallintosääntö) in Chapter 6 Elections.
Election advertising must be in good taste and appropriate. The e-mail lists provided by SAMK may not be used for electoral advertising. No marketing may be carried out at polling stations or in connection with the conduct of any other election.
In elections, the electoral list is available for inspection at the Student Union office at the beginning of the nomination process. Requests for corrections to the electoral roll must be submitted to the Executive Director (toiminnanjohtaja@sammakko.fi) of the Student Union during the elections.
In elections, all eligible voters may vote electronically in advance. If a voter does not cast an advance ballot vote, they is entitled to vote on the actual voting day at any polling place.
