The Representative Council is a “student parliament” within SAMK. The Representative Council decides on the broad lines and operational resources. For example, SAMMAKKO’s action plan and budget are approved annually by the Representative Council. The Representative Council annually elects the student body and the student representatives to SAMK’s board, degree committee and study board.
In these elections, all students of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences who have paid the membership fee of Student Union SAMMAKKO for the autumn semester 2022 or the academic year 2022–2023 are eligible (the next membership period expires for some members on September 30, 2022!). The membership must be paid before the end of the nomination process. Any SAMK degree student who has paid for SAMMAKKO’s membership can set up their own electoral list or stand for election. One election list can have 1-20 candidates.
You can download and print the candidate commitment form HERE and the election list establishment form HERE. (the forms are only in Finnish so far, ask for help if needed!) The lists can also be found in SAMMAKKO’s office during opening hours from Tuesday to Thursday 10-15 or by email: enni.korpunen@sammakko.fi.

After the nomination process ends, the candidates have three weeks to campaign for themselves and their list. Election advertising used in elections must be tasteful and factual. Email lists provided by SAMK may not be used for election advertising. Marketing may not be done at voting stations or in connection with the conduct of other elections.
Electronic pre-voting 31.10.2022 9.00 – 6.11.2022 12.00. Ballot box voting is taking place after pre-voting.
