The services of the Student Health Care Foundation FSHS will be expanded to UAS students from the beginning of next year. This means that (finally!) all higher education students have equal access to health care during their studies. All students studying for a degree (Bachelor’s and Master’s) who have registered to attend are entitled to FSHS services.

Servicepoints in Satakunta

From the beginning of January, the service will be available in Satakunta at the following locations:

Pori: Yrjönkatu 6. At the service point, all primary health care services as well as dental health care.

Rauma: Seminaarinkatu 3. At the service point, all primary health care services.

Huittinen: Koskuankatu 2. Services provided by Suomen Terveystalo Oy.

Kankaanpää: Opistonkatu 2. Services provided by Mehiläinen Oy.

Services and appointments

FSHS services include primary health care services and oral health care services. Such services include periodic health check-ups, basic psychological examinations, physiotherapy, nutrition therapy, sexual and family counseling.

From the beginning of 2021, the FSHS’s appointment booking and care needs assessment will be carried out centrally in Finland. To access the services, you must always first contact FSHF first. Your primary service point is the service point in your place of study. If necessary, you can make an appointment at FSHS’s own service point in another location.

Student’s health care fee

From December 2020, those entitled to FSHS services are obliged to pay a health care fee to Kela. The health care fee is paid to Kela every semester, ie twice a year. The fee is tax-like, ie it is not based on the amount of use of the services.

The amount of the health care fee for 2021 has been set at € 35.80 per semester, or € 71.60 per academic year. In addition to this fee, there will be no separate visit fees for FSHS services. FSHS only charges for unused times not canceled.

Important! Kela does not send a separate invoice for the health care fee. It will have to pay in Kela’s transaction service from the beginning of December. The due date for the spring semester is 31 January 2021. Kela will send a reminder invoice for the unpaid invoice, to which the statutory interest for late payment has been added.
